Innovative Church of the Year!

Category: Aldergrove, BC Alive Message — Gordon Pifher @ 1:26 pm

One hundred guests from all over North America were in attendance at an annual innovation conference hosted by the Ohio Conference on September 30. Dave Gemmell, Associate Director of Church Resource Center, in the North American Division was there to present an award to the church seen as the innovative church of the year for 2007.

Four members of the Aldergrove church were provided travel to attend this conference. • Dave Jamieson – Lead Pastor • Francis Douville – Assoc. Pastor • Shannon Gelb and Krystelle Heinrich – leadership team members

Initially Selected by a Non Member

Dave Gemmell was visiting the BC Conference for a camp meeting appointment. He had a conversation with a gentleman he met while sightseeing at the Fraser River. This non member started talking to D. Gemmell about this outstanding church in his community. He went on and on about how this church had impacted the community. When D. Gemmell found out from the bystander that this was a Adventist Church, he was impressed. The trophy of praise given to Aldergrove from a person in the community turned into a trophy of honour from the North American Division.

Raj Attiken, President of the Ohio Conference and initiator of the innovation conference and Dave Gemmell mentioned just a few of Aldergrove’s outreach innovations • Community Golf Tournament to raise dollars for life-changing ministry • Personalized Kingdom Assignments supported by 100s of the church members • The annual Extreme Home Repair, involving 100s of volunteers • Doubling of attendance in last 5 years

We congratulate the Aldergrove Church for this accomplishment, and look forward to the day when the real trophies are given out, trophies that we will eventually lay at the feet of Jesus.

Thank you, Aldergrove, for being a faithful steward.

We Reached the Goal!!

What Was The Evangelism Goal Set For Camp Meeting 2007?
You’re right, it was $150,000. That was a “big faith goal” providing us with 150% of what we raised last year.

On the last night of Camp Meeting we had received $97,000. Praise the Lord! However, last week, God had one more surprise. Faithful members, listening to the voice of God, brought the evangelism total to over $150,000.
We did reach the goal!

There Are Goals Still To Reach! Our most important goal is to let everyone see the beautiful picture of God that we, as a Church, have been given. Your evangelism dollars will be planting lots of seeds this year.
Pray for the harvest.
